Brief

Bolin web is an eCommerce website regarding razor and blade. Worked from wireframe to design. After design approved we started implementing eCommerce functionality on website as user friendly. After completion of the website we worked on optimization of a website to load the website faster for user experience and for better performance.

The Problem

  • The Branding was poor and didn’t reflect the high quality and premium craftsmanship of Bolin Webb’s razor.
  • The checkout process was slow, detracting from user experience and brand credibility. The process instilled doubt in the user’s mind, instead of building trust.
  • It was difficult to differentiate between the range of products. Each of Bolin Webb’s grooming products deserves to be showcased effectively to appeal to the users – this wasn’t the case.

Putting experience into practice

We worked closely alongside the Bolin Webb team to design and build an e-commerce website that was on-brand and highly functional, offering an enhanced user experience that increased conversions. We also implemented e-commerce marketing methods that increased search engine visibility, increasing quality traffic and driving leads.

We like to think we know our stuff, so what we did, was this:

Rank up the SEO

The first task on the priority list was improving the website’s SEO (Search Engine Optimisation). This included in-depth research and creating a list of targeted keywords for Bolin Webb – these were the words and search terms we were going to focus on to rank the website on the first page on those keywords.

Content is, in fact, still king and well-researched, well- written copy played an enormous role when it came to on- page SEO. Relevant and engaging blog articles were created; the website’s metadata was redrafted, images and media on the website were optimised by adding alternative tags.

Off-page SEO was also a focus, and this was improved through digital PR and content campaigns naturally gaining relevant high authority backlinks, and referrals from established online platforms.

The Conversion Rate Rockets

The newly redesigned e-commerce website played a critical role when it came to showing the products. It also enhanced the buying process, making it seamless, quick and efficient, not giving users any reason to abandon the sale.

The redesigned website had a minimalistic look that clearly communicated the products’ high-end craftsmanship through razor-sharp (sorry) copy and incredible images. We also shared the brand story, engaging the user further. The website showcased the brand in all their glory and created brand advocates.

As we had turned Bolin Webb into a global brand, it was only right that we added multiple currency options to cater to the international customers.
