  • More than 6,000 monthly visits
  • In excess of 750 on the launch of the brand new website
  • Ranked as a top podcast in the Cricket genre in Apple, Google and Spotify podcasts

Brief

Popular sporting podcast, the ’80s and 90’s cricket show was looking to create a compelling brand that encompassed the retro age their podcast focusses on, as well as develop a website to act as a central hub for fans and followers.

This website was a brand new venture for the podcast, who previously just relied on their show to be their only platform

The Problem

This was a brand new website, launching without any rank or link history to leverage, and neither was there an established brand to use for the audience to recognise.

However, this meant there were also no negative digital associations to impact the site. We had a fresh slate (or site) to make a real statement with, and our extensive experience in e-commerce website development and design, and strategic marketing meant that we knew the right activity to execute.

Solution

Putting Experience into Practice

A simple, yet effective strategy.

Brand new design & redevelopment of the new website

The new website and brand drew inspiration from the retro topic of the podcast as well as the sport itself. The website had a straight-forward purpose, and fans will be visiting for one reason – to listen to the podcast.

For this reason, the website is simple, yet effective, providing new fans with an introduction to the podcast, along with some history, as well as access to the podcast content. An integration with Acast allows for automatic syncing of the latest episodes, meaning fans of the show know where to come on a regular basis.

Complete list of services undertaken:

  • Complete design and development of the name and brand
  • Design and development of the website
  • Integration with Acast to sync up the latest episodes
